Beautiful bright pale pink color. Intense nose dominated by small red fruits, raspberry, & English ‘hard’ candy aromas. The palate is round, generous & ‘fruit sweet’ on the attack, evovlving into a savoury, bone dry mid-palate. Pleasantly fine texturally & a crunchy dry finish with lingering notes of red fruits, such as strawberry and pomergranate.

THE STORY
On the Domain there are many relics from Roman times. The Romans not only gave their name to the Provence, « the Provincia Romana », but they also brought the culture of the vine in early AD.
The Domain of Cantarelle was founded in 1974 and developed by the Dieudonné family in the 2000s to became the largest vineyard of the Coteaux Varois de Provence AOC.
The authenticity of the terroir, its colors, its perfumes, its landscapes immediately seduced Pascal Debon who became the owner of the Domain in 2017. A new adventure began with significant investments in the vineyard and in the wine making equipment for even better quality wines. The Domain is in the process of becoming certified as High Environmental Value (HVE).
THE TERROIR
The vines situated in altitude benefit from a clay and limestone soil and from good sunshine which allow the wine to preserve its freshness and acidity.
The violent and capricious wind of Provence, the Mistral, has a remarkable impact on the vineyard, it is very dry and protects the vines from attacks of moisture-related diseases.

Pure Provence in style, this is a great all-occasions wine, and a first rate introduction to French rosé. Made and priced to over-deliver. Full in the mouth and with an extra layer of juicy zestiness, classic strawberries and cream with a drop of mandarin juice, and a bittering, complexing finish, akin to the closing bite of a good gin and tonic. An easy wine to love and everything it should be – refreshing, straightforward, delicious and highly moreish!

From spring through to summer, from harvesting through to bottling, fermentation, de-vatting or maturing, each wine imposes its own rhythm. It is up to us to hear the needs of the wine and to allow it reveal itself so as its tasting is a magic experience to be shared.

“Light onion red, invigorating fresh pleasant fruit charm, raspberries, finesse-rich acidity, juicy on the palate. Summer feeling! ”
ORIGIN
Our Zweigelt grows on nutrient-rich and warm loess soils in the not too hot areas of the Arbesthal hill country, in order to maintain the fresh fruit and a pleasant acidity. Carnuntum’s mesoclimate benefits from the influence of the Neusiedlersee (the warm Pannonian plain) and the nearby Danube. The lake brings warm air and thus the high ripeness and velvety tannins of the grapes. The cool winds from the northern Danube and also the low temperatures during the night preserve the lively fruit and charm of the wines.
