The “Lasarin” is produced from the grapes of the youngest nebbiolo-Barolo vineyards and, in particular, from the nebbiolo vineyard in Neviglie. It unites the grapes noble heritage with enjoyable freshness and easy drinking.
During the traditional ten-day fermentation period, the must is macerated in contact with the skins at a relatively low temperature. The maturation and refinement of the wine are conducted in such a manner so as to not alter the wine’s natural freshness and fragrance.
The wine presents itself with a beautiful, subdued ruby-red color. Its full nose recalls flowers, raspberries and blackberries; in the mouth it is dry, balanced, velvety and enjoyably tannic, a legacy of the noble nebbiolo grape. After a brief period of aging in the bottle, the wine becomes increasingly smooth and velvety

IMMA is the wine that Marco dedicated to his first son, Manuele, who joined the Bonfante family in 2015. “IMMA” is simply the abbreviation of the Jewish name from which it derives, “Immanuel”.
In the glass IMMA shows a clear ruby red. The aromas are complex, with notes of plum, spices, red berries and violet. On the palate it is frank, tasty, with important tannins well integrated in the structure of the wine. It is long and persistent with a fruity and spiced final. It needs some years in the bottle to express all its potential. We recommend this Langhe Nebbiolo with typical dishes like the piedmontese “finanziera”, risotto with fondue and white truffle, meat dishes like “bollito”, mushroom “faraona”, rabbit with peppers and medium ripened cheeses.
Following their father’s loss and the consequent division of his winery, Marco and his sister Micaela founded the winery Marco Bonfante srl in 2000. “Our family produces wines in Piedmont, precisely in Nizza Monferrato since 8 generations, so much time that the hill which saw our ancestors grow up, took the name Bonfante.” Marco is the winemaker and he looks after the production and the sales, while Micaela takes care of the administration of the company.
“First of all I produce wines that reflect my taste: if I don’t like a wine, it is very difficult for me to sell it. At the moment the hectares of vineyards that we follow directly are 23 and to complete our production we buy some selected grapes, too.
Our staff takes care of the thinning (green harvest), reducing the production per plant to improve the quality of the grapes.
This work of selection allows us to produce and to offer our customers an assortment of the most important appellations of southern Piedmont.”
