Bordiga Bitter Rosso
$59.95
Rosso Bitter a bitter note, intense but not aggressive, of the root of Gentian Lutea, (hand-picked) that grows spontaneously in the Alps.
In the rocky slopes, beaten by the winds of the Western Alps, in whose valleys the ancient Occitan language is still spoken, the plants have to fight hard to survive.
In these uncontaminated regions, with the infinite rhythm of the seasons, hot and dry summers alternate with freezing and snowy winters: it is in these soils, sometimes just enough to take small roots, that flowers and herbs grow spontaneously and develop unique characteristics for their scents and colors.
Thanks to the influence of the nearby Mediterranean Sea, these plants represent a concentrate of essential oils. They are harvested strictly by hand by the mountaineers along the alpine pastures, dried at high altitude and then taken to the Bordiga headquarters.
Where our Master Distillers capture its essence creating a unique repertoire of Gin, Amari, traditional Liqueurs. From the nearby Langa, home of Barolo and Barbaresco, we take the great wines of Piedmont for our renowned Vermouth di Torino IGP.
