Dominique Roger Chene Marchand Sancerre 2019 Loire
$55.95
Dominique Roger Chene Marchand Sancerre 2019
Crystalline color with gold reflections. Nose of nectarine, white peach revealing the fruity and tangy side that one feels around the stone. Dense palate reminiscent of pistachio and chestnut cream, fruit reflecting the fullness of wines from “Chêne Marchand”.
Since the 17th century, the ROGER family has produced Sancerre wines, currently over an area of 11 hectare.
Dominique ROGER is passionate. If he takes meticulous care at all times in the vinification and aging of his SANCERRE, he often repeats his motto “No great wine without excellent grapes”.
This is why at DOMAINE DU CARROU the vines are cultivated with permanent respect for the environment and the microbial life of the soil by grassing the plots or working the soil.
The yields are adapted to allow optimum maturity of the fruit.
To achieve this, we do not hesitate to split the twigs in spring, to thin out (eliminate clusters) and to remove leaves in summer. In this endless quest for quality, we push the concern for perfection by selecting the bunches one by one on the sorting table, during the harvest, which is always carried out by hand on the entire vineyard.
