Gosset Grand Millesime 2015

Chardonnay 41%, Pinot Noir 59%

This luminous, crystalline, gold tinged Grand Millseme 2015 Brut reveals dense and delicate bubbles that explode on the tongue, while the fresh, sharp nose emerges as an expression of pure elegance with a gourmand twist reminiscent of pastry notes and fresh fruits; nougat, frangipane, candied orange, and mirabelle plums.A fleeting dash of Passe-Carassane pear shines through cut with a splash of Poire Williams. On the palate, this vibrant wine develops spectacular tension underpinned by fruity notes; nectarine and yellow peach with a hint of tangy rhubarb. The finish is clean, clear, mineral with a suggestion of saltiness and verbena.

The history of the GOSSET family begins more than four centuries ago with the first official ancestor of the line, Jean GOSSET (1484-1556), “Lord of Aÿ and Mareuil“. Sixteen generations in direct line, will be illustrated after him in Aÿ in Champagne as aldermen, mayors, prosecutors, but especially in the culture of the vine and the trade of the wines of Champagne.

Whatever the era, these men and women will have had the sole ambition of sublimating their terroir. The rapprochement, at the end of the 20th century, with the Cointreau family and the birth of the vintage Cuvées CELEBRIS will eventually bring Champagne GOSSET into the upper echelons of prestigious Houses, in France and abroad.

A passion which, from yesterday to today, has shaped the image and reputation of the oldest wine house in the region, whose name resonates today as a guarantee of excellence for all lovers of great wines. Champagne.
