Marchand & Burch Cremant de Bourgogne Brut N.V

Marchand & Burch Cremant de Bourgogne Brut N.V  Displays  red cherry and berry notes with citrus, melon and apple. Some creaminess through the mid-palate

Crémant de Bourgogne is the sparkling wine of Burgundy. It is made using the traditional method as per Champagne, and is usually a blend of permitted varieties that lie with the boundaries of the Burgundy AOC, in this case Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay and the rare Aligote. Hand-harvested fruit, gentle pneumatic pressing and time resting on lees in cool cellars produce a vibrant sparkling wine that is a perfect aperitif style.

Burch Family Wines
The family owned business started in 1986 with the label Howard Park, its roots deeply imbedded in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Today Howard Park sources fruit for its iconic wines from family owned vineyards throughout Leston and Allingham vineyards in Margaret River, and Mt Barrow and Abercrombie vineyards in the Great Southern.

MadFish, the second label, was introduced in 1992 and is most recognised by its very Australian label depicting the long necked tortoise, native to the Great Southern region of WA. Today the MadFish label produces a range of varieties across its portfolio.

Marchand and Burch label was produced in 2007 with the collaboration between Jeff Burch and Burgundian winemaker and friend Pascal Marchand. This partnership celebrates the two varieties of Chardonnay – M and B Mt Barrow and Porongurup’s Chardonnay and the Mt Barrow Pinot Noir. It’s a wine with a distinctive Burgundian flavour and is outstanding in its delivery of elegant and subtle fruit.

Burch Family Wines sends its wines internationally as well as having a great presence in the Australian market. The Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon is heralded by Langton Classification as “excellent” and Howard Park Wines is a RED FIVE STAR winery in the James Halliday Wine Companion.

The philosophy of Burch Family Wines is to produce wines of distinctive regional character with an uncompromising commitment to quality, using fruit sourced from the Margaret River and the Great Southern.
