Massimo Rivetti Langhe Pinot Nero 2016

Made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards in Mango at 500 m above sea level. Fermented in French oak vats and aged for one year in Austrian oak barrels. It has a structure that gives it a lifespan of over 15 years. Light in body, well structured with fresh and dried red berries and a hint of rhubarb.

The Massimo Rivetti company with its 25 hectares of vineyards, cultivated entirely in the organic system, presents a range of both traditional and international vines. The annual production is about 100,000 bottles, mainly divided between Barbaresco and Barbera d’Alba. The plots are grouped around three farmhouses: Froi, Garassino and Palazzina. In the first, located in the municipality of Neive, is the winery located on the Serraboella hill, one of the most important for the production of Barbaresco.

Use of “sexual confusion” (natural method that involves the use of pheromones to avoid the reproduction of the insect without eliminating it chemically) and manual collection of nocturnes (worms that, in spring, feed on the buds, compromising production)

NATURAL FERMENTATIONS
WITH INDIGENOUS YEASTS
