Maxwell Little Demon Cabernet Merlot 2018 Shows fresh fruit; plum, blackberry, and cherries. Well balanced tannin with subtle vanilla oak create a soft and round finish. The Cabernet flavours really dominate in this wine but the softness of the Merlot rounds off the palate creating a well-balanced wine.
Description
Maxwell Little Demon Cabernet Merlot 2018
The wine features a deep plum red colour with light garnet hues. Aromas of raspberry, cassis and vanilla blow off the nose, leading to a fresh and energetic palate. The medium weighted palate packs flavours of cherries, plums and blackcurrants fusing with silky tannins. Supported by subtle oak elements, the flavours and fragrances lead to a delicate and rounded climax. The wine has been crafted for immediate consumption, but can also be cellared for 4 to 6 years.
In 1871 Scottish scientist James Clerk Maxwell proposed a thought experiment, that involved a hypothetical creature acting as a gatekeeper between two compartments to sort gas molecules according to their speed.
Concentrated. Robust. Characterful. The qualities of the winemaker reflect in the quality of the wine. Because every wine that’s made by Maxwell is, indeed, Maxwell-made. And extract every characteristic nuance from every estate wine, regardless of price.
